A very special place providing experienced education and care for infants and young children in a unique country setting.
Located in the farmhouse, our Family Childcare is licensed for ten children and provides a loving environment with sunny rooms and a heated floor. We offer an age appropriate and emergent curriculum where we explore and grow using our senses. Our graduates move on to the "Bubbles" class of nine children in the schoolhouse when they are ready and we have room!
Families enroll their children to stay with us until they are prepared to step up to the exciting world of kindergarten. In the schoolhouse you will find up to 9 children in the Bubbles class (Toddlers ages 2-3), and 19 children in our Fancy Class (Preschool/PreK ages 3-5) each day. Our amazing teachers make sure each child has a positive self image, solid fine motor skills and the ability to self regulate themselves within their little community of classmates. These are milestones noted in the kindergarten screening process. Openings in our program occur as children move on to kindergarten. Vacant spots are filled from the Family Child Care as children age up to the next class!
Jennifer Eckler has made a career out of her passion for nurturing infants and children, and her love for her little farm. Her family has been making happy memories here since 1850. They have been sharing their farm animals and property with her surrounding community as well as families enrolled in her child care. She has a business degree and a vested interest as both the owner and director of her child care program. You will find her nurturing infants in the mornings, and playing with the toddlers and preschoolers in the afternoons.
We meet the intellectual, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of each and every child entrusted to our care. Children are tender, curious wonderful beings who need a safe and enriching environment to grow and thrive.
It is our pledge to ensure the safety, comfort, health and happiness of your child while in our care, and present them with the challenges to learn and develop at their own pace. Our goal is to continue to provide wonderful memories for children and their families for many years to come!
We limit our enrollment to ensure your child receives more quality time and attention than they may at a larger facility. We offer more space and a vintage farm feel that is not available in a typical family child care.

Our Schoolhouse opened October 2017! We are very excited to have two classrooms, named after our mini horses: The Bubbles Class and The Fancy Class. Our emergent curriculum is aligned with the Massachusetts Early Learning Guidelines for Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers.
Our Outdoor Wilburwri Nature Classroom is still in the planning phase! "Imagine a world in which children grow up with a deep understanding of the life around them... Where every school has a natural play space." ~ Richard Louv, author of "Last Child in the Woods" and "The Nature Principle".
